Clinical Research Assistant (Part-Time)


The clinical research assistant works closely with the laboratory coordinator and the clinical operations manager to offer support at various stages of the project, including laboratory manipulations, visits of research subjects and management of administrative and research documents.

 

This position will be perfect for you if:

RESPONSABILITIES

 

  • Perform all laboratory tasks required in the different protocols;
  • Properly prepare any shipment of laboratory specimens according to the collection schedules and the procedures written by the Laboratory Coordinator;
  • Perform quality control on the data entered on the different requests and specimens received at the laboratory and inform the Laboratory Coordinator if there is an error;
  • Prepare the necessary laboratory equipment related to biopsies;
  • Prepare, complete and file research documents (source data, medical records, etc.);
  • Conduct visits with the research subjects: vital signs, ECG, weight / height measurement, all other special techniques and complete the research file;
  • Collect clinical data in accordance with the protocol;
  • Assist in the management of medication: reception, shipment and destruction;
  • Respect the established procedures (SOP) and keep personal training file up to date;
  • Perform various administrative tasks including archiving of clinical data;

 

Education

  • College Diploma or Bachelor of Science or a related discipline.

 

Experience

 

  • Experience in a medical or research environment;
  • Strong interest in science and clinical research;

 

 

Knowledge and skills

 

  • French / English bilingualism (oral and written);
  • Demonstrates an ability to learn quickly and an intellectual curiosity;
  • Likes teamwork;
  • Ability to work on several tasks at the same time;
  • Integrity, diligence and thoroughness;
  • Is recognized for his understanding of the scientific process, his ability to analyze and understand research protocols;
  • Knowledge of good clinical and laboratory practices (PCBs and GLP);
  • Intermediate / advanced knowledge of office automation (Excel-Word);
