Medical Secretary


The Senior Medical Secretary works closely with the clinical site team and is responsible for managing secretarial and administrative management tasks for the dermatology clinic.

RESPONSABILITIES

 

  • Manage assigned tasks at the reception;
  • Answer phone calls and take messages on voicemail;
  • Manage appointments using the computerized system: making appointments, confirmations and cancellations;
  • Prepares the clinic before the arrival of the first patients;
  • Welcome patients and visitors;
  • Perform the opening and filing of patient files;
  • Bring patients in the clinical rooms for their visit and clean the rooms between each patient;
  • Ensures the identification of patient’s biological samples and follows-up on required tests;
  • Manage the documents to be given to the patient at the end of the consultation and manage the payments;
  • Manage mail and packages.

 

IDEAL PROFILE 

 

Education  

  • Medical Secretary diploma or other relevant training;

 

Experience 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a medical secretary;

 

Knowledge and skills

  • Good communication skills in French and English (functional);
  • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
  • Demonstrates great professionalism and is oriented towards customer service;
  • Ability to multitask and work in a team;
  • Recognized for his sense of organization and his autonomy;
  • Dynamic, proactive and solution-oriented;

Work Location

This position is based at our modern and bright clinic in Montreal (3530, Boulevard St-Laurent, H2X 2V1). The workplace is easily accessible by metro (Sherbrooke Station or St-Laurent Station), by bus (several lines) or by car (underground parking available for a daily fee).
