Nurse Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator

The Nurse Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator, works closely with the Clinical Research Coordinator to provide support at various stages of the project including administrative management of research documents and study subject’s visits. The Nurse Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator is recognized for their scientific expertise in the analysis and understanding of clinical research protocols.

Research protocols

  • Understand all clinical research protocols for the studies in which they collaborate, explaining the specifics and ensuring compliance with the protocol
  • Act as the primary resource for questions on clinical research protocols in the absence of the coordinator


Supporting a Clinical Research Coordinator

  • Conducting study subject’s visits
  • Explaining to patients the information needed to participate in the study
  • Responding to questions from pharmaceutical clients or project managers


Compliance with study deadlines and documentation requirements

  • Prepare, complete and file research documents (source data, medical file)
  • Monitor and maintain eCRF
  • Prepare and follow up source document for monitoring and audits
  • Ensure quality control of research and pharmacy files
  • Respond to queries and involving the Clinical Research Coordinator as required
  •  Ensure medication management: reception, entry into logs, consignments and destruction
  • Collaborate in patient recruitment and follow-up with patient enrollment
  • Make follow-up calls with study subjects
  • Manage follow-up of laboratory and ECG reports
  • Monitor patients during the study by keeping their statuses up to date in the Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) database
  • Support the Laboratory Coordinator for the processing and shipping of specimens as required
  • Follow standard procedures in place (SOPs) and maintaining training records
  • Act as backup to the Clinical Research Coordinator if temporarily absent





  • College Diploma in science, health or a related discipline



  • Experienced in a medical or research environment
  • Experience working with research protocols is an asset


Knowledge and skills

  • Understanding of the scientific approach, ability to analyze and understand research protocols
  • Ability to analyze and understand research protocols
  • Intermediate / advanced knowledge in office software (Excel-Word)
  • Bilingual (French / English) spoken and written
  • Ability to learn quickly and showing an intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Demonstrates integrity, diligence and rigor
  • Work autonomously
  • Good knowledge of good clinical practices, and applicable

Work Location


This position is based at our modern and bright clinic in Montreal (3530, Boulevard St-Laurent, H2X 2V1). The workplace is easily accessible by metro (Sherbrooke Station or St-Laurent Station), by bus (several lines) or by car (underground parking available for a daily fee).

Important note: the workplace is a medical clinic. According to the laws in force at the time of posting this posting, wearing a mask is always mandatory.


Work schedule


Attendance is required from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
