Patient Recruitment and Advertisement Manager


The Patient Recruitment and Advertisement Manager supervises the activities of the PRAD Specialist and Coordinator to ensure appropriate support is provided to the study teams for recruitment and advertisement strategies. The PRAD Manager is responsible for preparation of project specific recruitment strategies, advertisement and web content/strategy, recruitment modelling and offering assistance to investigator sites in preparing their recruitment plans and local advertisements with traditional or online medias. The Patient Recruitment and Advertisement Manager also tracks enrollment, effectiveness of media and online advertisement strategies, prepares reports for senior management including suggestions for contingency plans for study that are not meeting recruitment objectives. The PRAD Manger supervises the PRAD Coordinator and PRAD Specialist.

RESPONSIBILITIES

More specifically, the Patient Recruitment and Advertisement Manager must:

 

  • Prepares and presents patient recruitment strategies options and recruitment models at for proposal, bid defenses, and Kick Off meetings.
  • Develops the project level and site level recruitment strategy plan.
  • Informs and trains project team on recruitment strategy in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Develops the sites recruitment plan study template, and ensure customization of this plan with each site.
  • Creates the enrolment tracker with recruitment projections using CTMS or other system/tracker.
  • Monitors the progression of subject enrolment to ensure the target can be achieved and proposes improvements in recruitment strategies, as necessary, in collaboration with the Project Manager and/or clinical team.
  • Creates recruitment models based on information obtained during feasibility, site initiation, actual recruitment performance.
  •  Works with SSU and project manager to obtained updated recruitment projections from sites post activation to forecast LPI or propose new strategies for recruitment which may include increasing sites, adding additional advertisement initiatives, physician outreach, etc.
  • Assists the Project Manager on client’s request for recruitment and advertisement.
  • Interacts directly with client to establish and gain client input on recruitment strategies and budgets.
  • Outlines, delegates and supervises the work for the Patient Recruitment and Advertisement Specialist and Coordinator.
  • When applicable, offers guidance to sites on ways to achieve their recruitment target using their advertisement budget.
  • Creates and designs image and script advertisements for studies, in respect of Media’s and appropriate ethics committee’s current guidelines.
  • Coordinate global advertisement IRB submission and approval process.
  • Places ads on social media and traditional media for centralized campaign.
  • Monitors, compiles and analyzes web, email, and social networking analytics to assess advertisement strategies efficacy and identifies changes and improvements if needed.
  • Answers subjects’ requests received online.
  • Manages online presence and online advertisement.
  • Manages advertisement/recruitment vendors qualification, proposals review and contract negotiation, in collaboration with Project Manager and Quality Assurance.
  • Manages project publicity budgets and invoicing, in collaboration with Project Manager.
  • Ensures that all project relevant documentation is sent for filing in eTMF and archiving.
  • Manages the content, organization and appearance of Innovaderm patients and Investigators website for the CRO.
  • Supports the development, troubleshooting, testing and launch of new web and online platforms for the CRO.

IDEAL PROFILE

 

Education

  • BA/BS required, preferably in Communications or related field with 4 years experience or High School Diploma/DEC with 7 years experience

 

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years experience of relevant work experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical or CRO or health/medical communication industry
  • 1 to 2 years line management or supervisory experience desirable

 

Skills and knowledge

  • Good knowledge of good clinical practice, ICH standards and applicable regulations
  • Experience managing advertising budgets, client communication, and third party service providers
  • Website publishing experience is an asset
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, content management systems
  • Adobe Captivate, Illustrator, Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro and Photoshop experience is an asset
  • WebTrends, Google Analytics or other analytics platform (Spredfast, Brandwatch) experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in web governance and digital media
  • Bilingual (French and English), spoke and written an asset 
  • Problem solving skills, good adaptability, versatile, and great attention to details
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Good knowledge of good clinical practices, and applicable Health Canada and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations/guidelines.
