Patient Recruitment Auxiliary Nurse


The Patient Recruitment Auxiliary Nurse works closely with the Patient Recruitment Manager to provide all relevant information to patients interested in participating in a clinical research study. The person also verifies the eligibility of patients to make appointments to eligible patients.

In order to perfect and keep up to date his knowledge of clinical studies in recruitment, the Patient Recruitment Auxiliary Nurse also participates in certain visits of research patients and performs clinical tasks related to the studies and his training.

RESPONSABILITIES

 

More specifically, the Patient Recruitment Auxiliary Nurse will:

 

  • Establish initial contact with patients through an appropriate means of communication (e.g. call, email, text, etc.)
  • Create a patient record in the organization's database and update the source during various communications with patients.
  • Transmit relevant information to interested patients and verify their eligibility for the various clinical studies being researched.
  • Perform visit with the research patients such as vital signs, ECG, weight / height measurement, all other special techniques and complete the research file;
  • Collect clinical data according to the protocol;
  • Assist in medication management: reception, dispatch and destruction;
  • Classify research documents;
  • Respect established procedures (SOP) and keep your training record up to date;
  • Can be assigned to any other responsibilities not mentioned in this job description if he has the required experience, is qualified and / or has received the appropriate training.

 

PROFILE

 

Education

  • Licensed practical nurse and member in good standing of the Order of Nursing Assistants of Quebec (OIIAQ);


Experience

  • Experience in a medical or research environment;
  • Experience in a call center or customer service is considered an asset.
  • Experience in clinical research considered an asset.


Knowledge and skills

  • Intermediate / advanced knowledge of office automation (Excel-Word);
  • French / English bilingualism (oral and written);
  • Demonstrates an ability to learn quickly and intellectual curiosity;
  • Likes teamwork;
  • Ability to work on several tasks at the same time;
  • Integrity, diligence and rigor;
  • Autonomy
