Specialist, Digital Marketing


The Digital Marketing Specialist reports to the Director of Patient Recruitment and is responsible for the delivery of Central Advertising campaigns on awarded Clinical Trials. The Digital Marketing Specialist will partner with the Patient Recruitment Strategist to deliver a media plan to meet recruitment goals for a multitude of clinical trials, mostly focused on Dermatology and diversity targets. The Specialist will collaborate with Project Teams, Medical Monitors, Clinical teams, and Patient Recruitment to ensure each clinical trial and site is supported with qualified referrals by monitoring and optimizing all digital platforms. A Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for all Advertising placement for an assigned study, while managing timelines and deliverables with internal functional team members. 

 

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You have experience in not only placing Ads but creating the Ads for clinical trials
  • You have direct experience with Facebook, Instagram, Google, Bing. Additional pluses are experienced with placing ads on: WebMD, medical journals, blogs, other social platforms, patient advocacy groups, snapchat, whatsapp
  • You have experience with North America end Europe campaigns
  • You have experience in clinical trials - mandatory experience

 

REPONSABIITIES

 

More specifically, the Digital Marketing Specialist must:

  • Consult with the Patient Recruitment Strategist, and where needed Patient Recruitment Director, to ensure the appropriate strategy can be optimized.
  • Collaborate with Medical Monitor, PM, and Patient Recruitment Strategist to create and design all image and script advertisements for studies, in respect with the current guidelines of the Media and appropriate ethics committees.
  • Coordinate with Patient Recruitment Strategist to ensure sites are onboarded and prepared for advertising.
  • Place advertising directly on multiple platforms, including but not limited to what was proposed to the client.
  • Monitoring of the multi-channel (digital, print, OOH, broadcast) approach to ensure optimization is managed appropriately with the approved.
  • Responsible for all media plans inclusive of; target and geography analysis, budget allocation across channels, scheduling, support levels, developing and reviewing RFPs, program/site selection and reporting.
  • Managing pass through budget even when having to partner with vendors (such as Patient Advocacy Groups, online support groups) to optimize patient views and impressions.
  • Continuously monitoring digital presence and understanding patient journey to adjust and enhance lead generation.
  • Proactively assessing the need for new channels or change in strategy (i.e directing traffic to a screener, or changing creative).
  • Support the development, troubleshooting, testing and launching of the new digital channels.
  • In collaboration of the Patient Recruitment Strategist monitor, daily, the progression of subject enrolments to ensure the targets can be achieved.
  • Propose improvements in advertisement strategies, as necessary. Consult with Patient Recruitment to keep internal alignment.
  • Create and deliver final reporting metrics and case studies while consulting with the Patient Recruitment Strategist who will present to the Project teams. Including all lessons learned per indication.
  • Optimize all channel media with identified KPIs.
  • When Global campaign is necessary, collaborate with Patient Recruitment Strategist, and in-country team members to align on Global advertising strategy.
  • Continue to find new innovative ways to engage patients online both in North America and Rest of World.
  • Support Project team members, with client requests where needed.
  • Monitor, manage and update study budgets and invoicing.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related discipline

 

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing and / or communication in Clinical Research or Advertising firm supporting Clinical Trials directly.
  • Knowledge of conversion rate optimization, SEO, SEM mandatory.
  • Knowledge of clinical trials is mandatory.

 

Skills and knowledge

  • Excellent ability to maintain interpersonal relationships.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Perfectly bilingual (English and French), oral and written is an asset.
  • Experience in Digital Ad placement in rest of world is an asset.
  • Mastery of the Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Knowledge and mastery of social media and other relevant optimizing tools and platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, WordPress, Google Ads and Analytics, etc.)
  • Knowledge of graphics creation software (Illustrator, Canva, In Design)
  • Knowledge of web site design, creation and UI/UX experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across multiple indications, and digital channels.
  • Maintains and demonstrates a positive, team oriented, professional and customer service-oriented attitude (internal and external)
  • Recognized for creativity, graphic design, innovation and initiative, and dynamism.
  • Flexibility, autonomy, sense of organization
  • Action oriented
  • Good knowledge of good clinical practices, and applicable Health Canada and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations/guidelines.
