Technician Accounts Payables


The Technician Accounts Payables, is responsible for processing invoices and issuing payments. Perform accounting and clerical duties related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions in a context of project accounting. The Technician will also assist the team for tasks regarding conciliation at the end of the month and end of each project.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

  • Managing the account payable inbox;
  • Check, codify, and enter vendor invoices, credit card transactions and expenses reports;
  • Check and process payment (check and electronic transfer) according to payment term required, respecting currencies, countries and entities;
  • Check, generate and process investigator payment;
  • Set up vendor in the system with bank information;
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues;
  • Answer questions and vendor inquiries;
  • Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records;
  • Maintain accurate vendor files, historical records, supporting documents and invoices;
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions;
  • Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts;
  • Assist with month end closing;
  • Prepare reports and analyses for the account payable tracking.

 

IDEAL PROFILE

 

Education 

  • College degree in accounting or equivalent

 

Experience 

  • 2 years in a similar position

 

Knowledge and skills

  • Bilingual in French and English and, both written and spoken
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Experience with the Infor system
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Autonomy and sense of initiative
