The Auxiliary Nurse provides assistance to clinical research coordinators during visits to research subjects.

This is a part time position, 25h/week for a period of 6 months. This is a part time position, 25h-30h/week for a period of 6 months. Please note that it will include some shifts on weekends and evenings

This role will be perfect for you if:

RESPONSABILITIES

More specifically, the Auxiliary Nurse will:

• Support the Coordinator during research patient’s visits: perform vital signs, ECG, weight / height measurement and venipuncture;
• Support the Coordinator during research patient’s visits for certain special techniques and complete the research source documents accordingly;
• Participate in the administration of the study medication;
• Maintain devices and exam rooms;
• Prepare the days of visits;
• File research documents;
• Understand and apply internal procedures;
• Keep personal training file up to date.

IDEAL PROFILE

Education

• Licensed Practical Nurses degree;
• Member of L’Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers auxiliaires du Québec;
• CPR certificate;

Experience

• Experience working with patients;
• Experience in clinical research in an asset;

Knowledge and skills

• French / English bilingualism (oral and written);
• Knowledge of good clinical practice (GCP);
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel-Word);
• Demonstrates an ability to learn quickly;
• Adaptability ;
• Likes teamwork;
• Ability to work on several tasks at the same time;
• Integrity, diligence and thoroughness;
• Autonomy.
